Dear CCSD93 Community,

CCSD93’s Boundary Committee met this week to review the results of our recent community survey and continue its work toward potential boundary recommendations. 

As a direct result of community feedback and the committee’s continued analysis, a new Proposed Concept has been developed for consideration. No recommendation has been made, and the Boundary Committee has determined that it will meet again in October to continue its work before finalizing a recommendation for consideration by district leadership and ultimately the Board of Education.
 

Your child’s fall i-Ready report was sent home on Friday, September 25. We encourage you to take a few minutes to review the report together, celebrate your child’s growth and accomplishments, and talk about goals for continued growth this school year.

CCSD93 Student-Led Conference schedules are open!

To help keep students’ personal belongings safe and secure, all students are required to use a school-issued combination lock on their hallway and PE lockers.

If you were sent a link to this message, our records show that we have not yet received a completed Health Examination Form and immunizations for your child. You have also been sent a personalized email that identifies the child whose form has not been submitted.

CCSD93 will host age-appropriate programs for 4th-8th grade students in September and October designed to equip them with positive, practical mental health resources. The programs will be presented by NAMI DuPage, the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness

This week, our students will take their fall iReady Math Assessment on Wednesday, September 9, during Advisory. This assessment is an important opportunity for students and teachers to better understand their current strengths and identify areas where additional support or challenge may be helpful.

As part of CCSD93’s ongoing boundary review process, we invite parents/guardians, staff and community members to attend one of two identical Community Input Nights to learn more about the work underway and provide feedback on two boundary concepts currently being considered.

What a wonderful start to the school year! It was such a joy to welcome our Stallions back with big smiles, excited conversations, and the return of those special student friendships. We are especially excited to welcome our new 6th graders, who did an amazing job navigating the building, learning new routines, and settling into their classes!

We’ve been made aware that some families may be encountering issues adding funds to their MySchoolBucks accounts through the MySchoolBucks app to pay for CCSD93 meal service.

If you encounter this issue, here are a few ways to resolve it:

• Use the MySchoolBucks website: MySchoolBucks has confirmed that parent deposits are active and working on their website.
• Refresh the app: Sign out of the MySchoolBucks app completely and sign back in. The app may still contain saved account information from the previous system.
• Reinstall the app if needed: If signing out and back in does not resolve the issue, uninstall and reinstall the MySchoolBucks app, then sign back in.

CCSD93 elementary school families can order pre-packaged school supply kits through SchoolKidz for the 2026-2027 school year by June 21, 2026!

Key dates for the new school year include new student orientation and student placement/busing notifications on August 12, Meet the Teacher events on August 18, and the first day of school for Grades 1-8 on August 19. Kindergarten will follow a shortened schedule on August 19 and 20 before transitioning to full days on August 21. Preschool Meet the Teacher will be held on August 20, and preschool classes begin on August 24.

Congratulations to our 8th-grade graduates and their families on this significant milestone! We are proud of all that our students have accomplished through their hard work, perseverance, and growth.

On this Mother’s Day, I want to celebrate the remarkable resilience shown by our mothers and caregivers in our school community. You are the heartbeat of our homes, providing the support, love, and encouragement our students need to shine.

Teacher Appreciation Week is this week, May 4-8, and it is the perfect time to celebrate our incredible educators who show up every day with passion, patience, and creativity. Our staff works tirelessly to create a nurturing and challenging environment for our students, and I am so proud of the work they do.

What an amazing event for the Stratford Stallions! Huge thanks to our staff and custodians for the perfect setup and coordination of our PTA fundraiser. Every detail was hit out of the park! It was wonderful to see our school spirit on full display and to welcome back so many former students to the court!

Online registration for the 2026-27 school year is now open! At Stratford, we pride ourselves on the wonderful diversity of our student body. To celebrate our diversity, I am excited to invite you and your family to our first annual Stratford Cultural Fair on Wednesday, March 25th from 6:00-7:30 pm in our large gym.

I want to thank everyone who took the time to complete the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is a vital tool that helps us measure our school’s climate.

Your child will be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) starting next week. The IAR is a state assessment that focuses on how our students are performing relative to the Illinois Math and Reading Standards. The IAR consists of two separate English language arts assessment sessions and three separate math assessment sessions that last 60-90 minutes each.

CCSD93’s award-winning Early Childhood Center (ECC) offers a play-based, nurturing environment where 3- and 4-year-olds learn through exploration, develop independence, strengthen problem-solving skills, build confidence and practice positive group interactions.

This Friday, November 14th, is the end of Trimester 1. During our Taborn Meet Up/Taborn Take Away meetings last week, we discussed the importance of student attendance, charged devices, and support opportunities at home and school. Please take a moment to discuss with your child daily routines and goal setting tips to help support their academic success.

Our Mane Event Fundraiser is off and running! Our first week has raised $675 of our total $7,700 goal. Let’s continue to support our students by raising more money to fund the events that our PTA has provided in past years.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, an annual observance to raise awareness, reduce the stigma around suicide, and connect individuals with helpful resources.

All students are required to use a school issued combination lock to secure their personal items in their hallway and PE lockers. To purchase a school lock for the hallway or PE locker, the cost is $7.00 each.

A big component of this is mental health. We know it can be difficult to know where to start when looking for mental health resources. This is why CCSD93 is thrilled to partner with an organization called Referral GPS that makes it easier for families, staff and community members to find the right help for them.
